  • Beskrivelse: Delegation of the National Group of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croatians and Slovenians visited Czechoslovakia in October of 1922. Yugoslavian deputies had a tour of Prague (The National Assembly, the Senate, and Prague Castle) and of the town of Hradec Králové. In October of 1926 a group of seventy Czechoslovak deputies of the National Assembly paid a friendly visit to Yugoslavia. They were welcomed at the Subotice railway station. In the town of Nový Vrbas they were greeted by the Yugoslavian military squadron. In Beograd the delegation visited Yugoslavian Parliament, they laid wreath at the Grave of Unknown Hero on the Avala Hill, and they attended Sokol festival and watched a defence demonstration in Beograd. Following a warm welcome they received at the Mladenovec railway station, our delegation worshipped the memory of Peter the Great Liberator in the town of Topol. In Čuprij they met representatives of the Czech minority. In Paračino the Czech and Slovak politicians were welcomed by the Mayor of the Town, Popovič. In the town of Skopje the deputies visited the 21st Czechoslovak regiment in Serbia. Its Commander Stojanovič handed over to them a wreath for the Czechoslovak grave of the Unknown Soldier. Then they took part in a military show. Their another stop on the tour of Yugoslavia was made in the town of Zagreb, where the deputies were accommodated in the Esplanade Hotel. In the town of Split they were dancing a circle dance in front of the local town hall. The last stop made by the deputies on their long journey was Lubljana. Our delegation received a warm welcome everywhere and they were greeted by people as representatives of a comradely Slavonic nation.
